What “kids” can expect

The Grove is made up of many different fun and interactive teaching/learning environments.
Here’s a breakdown of those environments:

Infants/Babies:

Environment:

We understand how precious your baby is. So many of us have been right where you are. We are going to do our best to provide a safe, clean and friendly environment for your baby so you can enjoy the worship without worry.

Curriculum:

For the curriculum,  babies / infants focus on a big question each month.  They use the same material as the preschoolers but the stories, games, and activities are tailored for their age, attention span, and abilities.

Pre-School:

Environment:

Our preschooler environment encourages children to explore role playing through dress up clothes, increase hand eye coordination through puzzles and blocks and much more in an effort to continue their learning through play.

Curriculum:

“The Grove” for preschoolers (ages 2- Jr. K) focuses on a big question each month.  Who loves me?  How does God take care of me?  These big questions are answered through Bible stories, play, games, and activities.  We want preschoolers to know that 1) God made me, 2) God loves me, 3) Jesus wants to be my friend forever.  We also want them to know that the Bible is not a “story” book but is 100% true!  We provide various tools/resources for parents to use at home to help their preschooler continue exploring these big questions.

Elementary-(K-5th):

Environment:

“The Grove” environment for Kindergarten – 5th graders is a like kids dream room.  What kid wouldn’t want an awesome sound system to listen to hip music, a large screen with rear projector for optimal video viewing, and cool artwork on the walls?  You’ll find it in “The Grove” and that is what makes this environment such an inviting and cool area for our grade schoolers to hang out.

Curriculum:

Children will study a particular virtue each month.  All the Bible stories, games, songs, activities, etc. focus on that month’s virtue.  We study virtues like Patience, Cooperation, Wisdom, etc.  We believe that all parents want their children to be virtuous and we want the kids to take these virtues to heart.  We want the kids to live out these virtues in their daily lives!  We provide various tools/resources for parents to use at home to further the conversation of that month’s virtue.
